The other day I updated to iOS 7, and found a couple of albums I’d forgotten about floating in the cloud. (You know how your mom gives you an iTunes gift card, and then it sits around awhile, and then you buy a Miles Davis album you haven’t listened to yet, and then somehow it doesn’t show up on your phone and then you find it in the cloud?). I’d been holding out on the software update, because I’m sort of a Luddite, and also because I have an iPhone 4S, & I was afraid it would slow it down too much. Thus far it hasn’t been so bad; and bicycling around town listening to Miles Davis’ Sketches Of Spain has been great - it reminds me of being warm in the Sixties. I rode my bike from Echo Park to an interview at a coffee shop downtown listening to Miles Davis and then on the way back, Achtung Baby, which is an album that sounds like being cold in Eastern Europe.
